About us

Who are we ?

We are a family of Christians living in four villages, which are located between Lichfield and Burton on Trent in the United Kingdom.

Why are we Christians ?

Our goal is to live life with God at the centre of our lives. What we mean by this, is that we try to live out the commandments about love that Jesus gave us.

What does this say about us ?

We try to live our faith as best as we can following the commandments Jesus gave us: Love God with all your heart  with all your soul and love your neighbour as your self.

This means that we choose to live a life which places high value on God and other people.

We remember that we are human beings and not God, and as consequence we do not always succeed in living out these  commandments.

What do we think church is ?

We think church should be a place where God heals us, a meeting where we tackle and then leave behind the difficulties that life throws up at us.

Liberating and fun

We also think that Church should be liberating not stuffy. We believe church should be uplifting and provide a meeting place where God’s presence can be encountered in the Bible, the Eucharist and through our relationships with one another.

Welcome us into your family

Besides regular worship, each of our churches is embedded in our local villages and we like supporting them in the things that they do.

Please pray for us

As we have all come out of the dreadful COVID pandemic, our church family has been praying about how God wants us and you to help him next.

We believe that God is leading us in ministry, and that there is plenty to do to help.

This is what we believe God has challenged us with so far:

Our desire

“By 2026, be a healthier church that is characterised by its ever growing faith in Jesus”

Why ?

Jesus says:

“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”.

Matthew 28 v19

How ?

Psalm 37 v5 points to the inner conversion to God:

“Commit your life to the Lord, and he will act on your behalf”.

We believe we need to express the truth of our conversion, by the way we choose to lead our lives in the wider communities that we serve.

Therefore during  Lent 2022, we prayed about how our lives in the community would be ‘flavoured’ -all for the glory of Christ Jesus.
